After a few attempts at getting the illustrations printed to the standard I wanted them, I finally settled on giclée printing. The inks used are a 12 colour inkjet system that gives vivid and accurate colours. I was so pleased with the result. Archival pigment inks have a much greater fade resistance than any other inks and combined with good quality paper the prints can last for over 100 years. The paper I choose is a 300gsm thickness matt cotton smooth stock by Hahnemühle. It's bright white which makes the colours stand out really well.

Due to the cost of producing the artwork this way, I have to allow up to 10 working days before the prints arrive. I try and make sure I order more than one print at once to save on postage and cost as this means I can still keep the prices down for people. I also like to think that because of the quality of the print it's definitely worth waiting for.

If you need to know any more details about the printing process or materials then just drop me an email.

At the moment I currently don't frame the prints, however I am looking into having a local framing company supply a few. Once I have an idea of cost I can offer the illustration framed, although this will mean the cost and postage will increase. It will be an optional extra, some people however already have a frame or want to purchase their own, so this way it means it is flexible for everyone. If you want any details of good retailers or online framing shops then drop me an email and I can put you in touch with the right people.
